Rassilon
[*I know that the President from Pete’s World isn’t a Time Lord, but Don Warrington plays Rassilon in Big Finish’s audios.]
(But it’s an alternative universe, so I like to believe that it’s a chameleon-arched!alt!Rassilon.)
The best Rassilon:

(Was going to make a graphic in the proper font, but realised that tumblr would probably photograph it out).
GALLIFREY LIVEBLOG SERIES 1 SCHEDULE:

20 May (Sunday) @ 2PM EST / 7PM GMT - 01x02: Square One

03 June (Sunday) - @ 1PM EST / 6PM GMT - 01x04: A Blind Eye
[EST is -05:00 from GMT]
I figure that series 01 will give us enough time to play around with the following 3 series-worth of Gallifrey. I tried to fit a Friday or other weekday into the mix, but the wide range of listeners, 7 hours, made that a bit more difficult than I would have liked. I tried to get Sundays a bit earlier, and Saturdays, I hoped for a bit of leeway. I’m always up to changing it up, if people have problems or concerns with the times/days.
:)
And two hours before it’s due, you want to change your entire topic and use all new books and critical sources.

That really grinds my gears. I bet it’s gonna be all about the sexual tension.
At least the BBC version kept *fairly* true to the friendship of Holmes and Watson.
WHY YOU RUIN EVERYTHANG, CBS?! D:
american shows seem to always be about sexual tension and raunchy “humor”
i bet it’s not gonna be funny either.
YEAH. LOOK AT MY OUTRAGE. WE SHOULDN’T HAVE FEMALE CHARACTERS IN PROMINENT ROLES BECAUSE THEY MIGHT HAVE SEXUAL TENSION WITH A MALE LEAD.
BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THERE CAN NEVER BE A POSITIVE EXAMPLE OF FEMALE SEXUALITY ON TV. SO WHY BOTHER? JUST GET RID OF ALL THE FEMALE CHARACTERS. WHO NEEDS ‘EM, EH?
Oh, and look, of course. “American TV is inferior to ~anything else~ because it’s all ~raunchy~ and ~unsophisticated~.” Bullshit argument, and a stupid objective opinion. There are witty, well written, quality TV shows, films, books, etc. that come out of the US. There are well written, witty quality TV shows that come out of the UK. Or Canada. Or Australia. Or non-English speaking countries. Just because you haven’t sought them out, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
For arguments sake, if you’re talking about the UK, there is just as much shit on their TVs as there is in the US, relatively.
Also, lol. I know this will probably taint what I’ve argued so far, because it’s arguing “BUT THE OTHERS ARE LIKE THAT” but it bears mentioning: Because Moffat’s Sherlock or Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes are the epitome of feminist literature, right? Lolokay.
Also, why does it need to be funny? Straight up drama? I’d totally be up for that.
I agree with TARDISCrash
Unpopular opinion:
I have been in love with Lucy Liu for a million years and I am going to watch the fuck out of this.
She has freckles. Your arguments are invalid.
